Sadhguru begins the talk by asking a question: if our mind took instructions from us, would we create anxiety? Of course, the answer is no. Sadhguru believes that the conflict within us comes from two dimensions that are not taking instructions from us.
He suggests a simple yoga technique that can help settle half of our anxiety. He claims that our system is complex, and we need to pay attention to it to use it for what it is designed for. Our problems are not caused by genetics or social issues but because we cannot have our minds the way we want them.
He dismisses the idea of surrendering, saying that it is just a word thrown around, and nobody knows what it means. Instead, we need to understand the user’s manual of our body and pay attention to how it works.
He concludes that even if we have anxiety disorders, there is an intelligence within us that can transform a carrot into a human being. Therefore, we must focus on transforming ourselves and not blame our problems on external factors that we cannot change.
Overall, Sadhguru’s talk encourages us to take responsibility for our minds and focus on understanding and transforming ourselves.
